Mentor + is an independent organization, composed of volunteers in recovery, who provide trusted advice to inmates during their last few months before release from prison. Mentors help their mentorees make healthy decisions to prevent them from returning to prison.
Once a week, two mentors will meet with a mentoree to privately discuss his or her situation and receive support and advise from the mentors. Mentors help their mentorees deal with many of the problems inmates face when they leave prison:
Contact us to become a mentor for Mentor +. We welcome inquiries from men and women, but currently we are in particular need of women mentors with two or more years in recovery.
To qualify for Mentor +, mentorees must be enrolled in the Drug and Alcohol program at Bucks County Correctional Facility or Bucks County Community Corrections Center. Mentorees must be Bucks County residents after release. Those seeking a mentor should contact the Drug and Alcohol Department within their facility.
