If you are an individual in recovery or a recovery support worker/volunteer, you may be interested in recovery podcasts.
A podcast is an audio or video program, like a radio or tv show, that is distributed over the Internet rather than the airwaves. Unlike radio and tv episodes—which are broadcast on a particular day at a particular time—podcast episodes are offered “on-demand.” Anyone can listen to or watch any available episode at any time. Furthermore, individuals can subscribe to a podcast so that all new episodes are automatically delivered directly to their computers as soon as they become available.
Many people copy podcast episodes onto a portable player, such as an iPod or portable CD player, so they can listen/watch while they exercise, run errands, or drive to work.
For a more detailed explanation of podcasting, see the video Podcasting in Plain English by Common Craft.
