Volunteer for 2008 Events

Published February 29, 2008

Recovery Walks! and Recovery Works! It takes team work to develop events which grow to become vital assets to the community. PRO-ACT, a grassroots constituency of persons supporting those in recovery from the disease of addiction, is asking you to become a cornerstone of the success of these events by joining our team of volunteers.

2008 Recovery Walk

Our annual Recovery Walks! event, held in September, has tripled in size in just a few years and has become our largest event with expectations of over 2,000 walkers for 2008! This is the largest walk for recovery from alcohol and drug addictions in Southeastern Pennsylvania. This 3-mile event is held along Memorial Hall in beautiful Fairmount Park. It’s a day of family, fun, food, information, networking, and advocating for recovery.
