Notification from the Regional Public Policy Committee of PRO-ACT: Due to an extremely heavy legislative agenda in Harrisburg and Washington D.C. it has been extremely difficult for our legislators to commit to attending the PRO-ACT Legislative breakfast on Sept 14th 2007 at the Loews Hotel in Philadelphia. In addition, pending legislation may have an impact on ACT 106 that deserves our immediate and undivided attention.
Therefore, the Regional Public Policy committee has decided to postpone this event to a date that will be determined later. As an alternative of your attendance to this event, the committee has asked for your help in the following ways:
The United States Senate returns to Washington on September 5, 2007. Please take these steps beginning Monday, August 20, 2007 through Wednesday, August 29, 2007. PA’s Act 106 of 1989 is under attack and our struggle with Washington to protect access to addiction treatment through our treatment law continues.
